The sentiment gives a poetic heartfelt touch for that specific someone’s graduation, with a little piece of art to go along with it. So what is “Ransom Notes from the Heart?” Generally, when we think of ransom notes we think of someone figuring out what to write and then cutting out letters to give it that “ransom note” look. But this is “free-association” poetry—random sentences, phrases, or single words, cut out from various magazines, then altogether spread randomly on a large table to allow the mind to make the poetic connections. You could say it’s an embrace of chaos and rationality, or simply, turning chaos into harmony. Combined with my art work, which is hand-made from construction paper and artist materials (nothing is photo-shopped!), the overall esthetic of the art work is consistent with the organic feel of the free association poetry.
